Murder #156, Michael Walser, Paddington.......Michael Walser, 45, was found dead at his home in Paddington on June 24, 2012. A postmortem examination found he had suffered a brain haemorrage as a result of a head injury. Walser had been mugged after taking a £150 from a bank machine. Police charged Terry Smylie, 26, with murder and robbery. Smylie pleaded guilty to the lesser charges of manslaughter and theft. Smylie was jailed for five years for manslaughter.
