The Landscape of Murder

Murder #51, Badi Saleem, King’s Cross.......Badi Saleem, 35, was stabbed to death at a hostel near King's Cross on May 12, 2011. Police and paramedics were called to the building in Argyle Street but he died before reaching hospital. A fellow hostel resident, Marvin Bailey, 42, was charged with murder. Bailey pleaded guilty to manslaughter due to diminished responsibility. The court accepted the plea after psychiatrists concluded he was suffering from paranoid schizophrenia. Bailey was detained indefinitely under the Mental Health Act.
