La Nuova Musica
The actors, singers and musicians of the perfumed performance of Acis and Galatea gather on stage out of costume for the camera on the stage of St. John Smith's Square Church
The blurb says this: "Scenting concerts and church services in 18th century London was commonplace - not only to cover up undesirable smells - both human and from the Thames, but also to add to the headiness of the moment. With this spirit in mind, La Nuova Musica is teaming up with Sarah McCartney of 4160 Tuesdays to create two perfumes that will scent St John's Smith Square during the performance. Firstly there will be a perfume to enhance the audience appreciation of the blissful Arcadian scene that opens Acis and Galatea, and then as the story develops and turns bad at the arrival of Polyphemus, attempted rape of Galatea, and murder of Acis - a further scent will be released."
