Murder #68, Mumtahina Jannat, East Ham.......Mumtahina Jannat, 29, was found strangled at her home in East Ham on July 5, 2011. Police were called to Kempton Road and found the victim was lying on the floor with a scarf wrapped tightly around her neck. A postmortem gave the cause of death as compression of the neck and asphyxia. The husband, Abdul Kadir, 45, was charged with murder and found guilty. Kadir was jailed for life with a minimum of 17 years.
