Murder #101, Richard Ward, Battersea........Richard Ward, 37, was beaten to death in the street in Battersea on November 7, 2011. He was found with head injuries in Severus Road and was pronounced dead at the scene. Two men were charged with murder but one, Cameron McFly was convicted. The court heard that McFly lured Mr. Ward into an alleyway and proceeded to beat him before stealing Ward’s cash to buy alcohol and cigarettes. McFly was sentenced to life in prison.
