Murder #69, Umesh Chaudhary, Croydon........Umesh Chaudhary, 41, was battered to death with a brick by a stranger on July 6, 2011. He was attacked near his home in Croydon. Chaudhary suffered severe head injuries and died in hospital. Rostam Ahmadi, 18, was arrested at the scene after being pinned down by local residents. The accused was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia and pleaded guilty to manslaughter. The court ordered him to be detained indefinitely under the Mental Health Act.
