Hazel Blears

Hazel Anne Blears is a British Labour Party politician, who has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Salford and Eccles since 2010 and was previously the MP for Salford since 1997. She served in the Cabinet as Minister without Portfolio and Labour Chair between 2006 and 2007, and Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government from 2007 to 2009, when she resigned. Blears is standing down at the 2015 general election.
