Father-of-four Trevor Ellis, 26, was shot in the head at the height of the London riots on Monday, August 8, 2011. He died in hospital the following day. The victim, who lived in Brixton Hill, had travelled to Croydon with his friends when he was confronted by a gang of nine looters. Detectives believe he was a passenger in a dark-coloured hatchback which was chased by two other cars from Scarbrook Road along the A232 flyover into Duppas Hill Road. Police found Mr Ellis in the car with a gunshot wound to the head at the junction with Warrington Road at around 9.20pm.
